| I have a confession to make and I can't think of a clever way of putting it at the moment. It may seem odd that I've kept something like this quiet for so long, but if I've been silent then it's because surprisingly little has changed.
Chuck and I broke up about three weeks ago. It was a perfectly mutual decision and we're both much happier for it. It was really rough on me for... two days? I figure two days of hell over a relationship that lasted over two years is a damn good deal. The only reason I'm bringing it up now is that we ran into a mutual acquaintance today and realized after parting ways with him that we really haven't told all that many people. It's like having a secret relationship in reverse.
It's quite possible that no one cares about this little announcement. Or that most people who would care already know. But if lj is supposed to be a place were I can periodically update a small group of people on my life, then there you have it. | comments: 8 comments or Leave a comment |
| My professor asked me if I was from Canada the other day.
It was a very happy moment in my life. | comments: 6 comments or Leave a comment |

| I'm neglectful, but what can I say? Too much internet makes me feel like a zombie so I go on big long fasts sometimes. Like over break. So if I missed emails or lj-stuff, I apologize, but everyone should know that I covet my hermit time. (Like break.)
Speaking of break, it was good. p2b93 came to visit and I "gave" him the best birthday present ever- grape_nut. My work here is done.
(Clever Transition!)
My parents are evil. They offered to let me renovate/live in the barn if I do most of the work. Evil, evil, evil way to get me back in KY. It's tempting... maybe I can do it for a year before grad school.

I can't find Kristina's poetry online. I need it. Does anyone have the mirror site saved? I'm emailing her mom anyway, but I thought I'd ask.
Her birthday would have been three weeks ago. | comments: 15 comments or Leave a comment |

| Today I woke up too early. I also got naked with some pretty girls and spent roughly three hours submerging my ingrate body into steaming pools of various temperatures, dumping herbs over my head and luxuriating in roasting hot rooms heated by salt, sand or jade- all for the low low price of $25. Then I ate some raw fish (yum) and tried to take a nap in front of the fireplace while Chuck gave me the massage I didn't want to pay for.
It's been a good day.
Except I still haven't worked on my Japanese Suicide paper-thing.

| ...because I am amused by its answers.
Also, I have been to quite a few weddings in my short lifespan. I've been in three and have often been made to witness people my age or younger gleefully or carefully make their way down that aisle of perpetual monogamy. Having done my research, I feel I am ready to join the rank of every other girl in the world and think about what I want for my wedding.
Things that are mandatory for my wedding, should I ever get married:
1. There will be NO fucking "music breaks" during the actual ceremony. Dumb.
2. There will be no Celine Dion at my wedding. If the DJ plays anything I deem as power ballad, stupid, or just plain tripe, the DJ will be taken out execution style. In fact, I want a friend's band to play- any band will do, really. Play your scream-y lyrics all you want, just don't cover R&B. Failing this, instrumental music or nothing... I hate Celine Dion... *twitch*
3. Wedding must be outside.
4. In revenge for every reception I've ever been to, for every time I have feasted solely on mash potatoes and a wee bit o'salad, I shall have an all vegetarian meal. Tofu for all! HA HA HA.
And that is all. I got tired of thinking about it. | comments: 4 comments or Leave a comment |

| Chuck's party turned out better than I thought it would. Teaches me to be pessimistic for one night. I'm glad he liked the creepy-vacant eyed bunny gumball thing. Thank you to everyone who showed up, it really meant a lot to him and I enjoyed your company as well.
In other news... I'm going home in three days! Whoo hoo!! (Even if it was boldly red... but we'll not talk about that.)
P.S. And my hair... well... let's say I've shed about three or so pounds. | comments: 9 comments or Leave a comment |
